CUSTOM APPLICATOR
Job Description:
To apply agriculture pesticides and fertilizers to crop fields; deliver agronomy products; assist in grain department; and work with customers in a safe manner that maximizes departmental effectiveness.
Job Duties:
Maintain a safe work environment and wear proper PPE when required Operate floater, post sprayer and tender trucks in a safe manner to apply products to the appropriate fields Maintain fertilizer and chemical equipment Blend / load liquid, dry and anhydrous ammonia fertilizer according to recommendations Assist to achieve accurate and efficient unloading and delivery of products Assist in grain department when needed Must be able to lift 25
  • 75 pound items frequently Customer service is our priority: Serve patron in a manner that promotes our company, promotes customer service and delivers our patrons the services they need to succeed with their operations.
Work overtime as required Perform any other task requested by your supervisor Education / Experience Minimum of 1-2 years of related field experience. Farm back ground preferred. Working knowledge and general understanding of machine operations and maintenance. Strong preference for someone with computer and GPS systems knowledge, however, will train the right candidate.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret job cards and chemical labels. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as acres, gallons, tons, ounces etc.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to identify problems and understand road layouts to determine the best routes from field to field.
Certificates and Licenses:
Tanker endorsement and custom applicators license preferred
