A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Pay Range:

Job Description Bluestone Landscape Management is seeking an experienced, competent applicant for a Crew Leader position in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment. We are seeking highly motivated leaders seeking to grow with our expanding business. Excellent communication skills and genuine honesty are a must. Our goal is to hire a qualified applicant with a hunger to grow in his or her respective field, and therefore grow with us. We work hard to ensure there is work year round so as to not lay off good help, including extensive fall leaf maintenance work, continual contract services, cross-training off seasons opportunities, and snow services. Responsibilities and Tasks required of Crew Leaders include, but are not limited to the following: competence in equipment and techniques. knowledge of grass types, and proper understanding of their care. knowledge of various bushes and shrubs, and proper understanding of their care, including when and how to maintain. communication of properties' status and trouble areas as soon as noticed to expedite appropriate and satisfactory actions. competence in using general tools, and troubleshooting minor equipment maintenance issues. organizational skills and habitual cleaning of equipment and vehicles to ensure functionality. knowledge of various weed control and turf management chemicals and their applications is a plus . willingness to be cross-trained and alternately utilized in various other job capacities, i.e. usually large-scale multicrew mulch, pine straw, drainage, landscaping, tree jobs. ability to work outdoors, consistently, for extended periods of time, in any weather conditions, including snow. A valid driver's license is a must . We are understanding and willing to work with qualified applicants. Expectations Crew Leaders are a heavily depended upon position within our company, and we have low tolerance for absence without valid notice. Work weeks run Monday through Friday. Saturdays are rare and Sundays we are shutdown.
