A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.
$18.00 - $24 per hour to start, based on experience — with room to grow Rolling Vale Farms is a 7th-generation family farm operation in Garrett County, Maryland, farming approximately 3,000 acres of corn, soybeans, hay, and pasture, along with a 200-head registered seedstock cattle herd. We've been at this for over 150 years, and we're looking for a dependable full-time farm hand with hands-on experience to join our crew. Responsibilities Operate tractors and farm equipment for planting, hay making, harvest, and daily farm work Assist with cattle chores including feeding, moving cattle, and herd health work General farm labor: fencing, equipment upkeep, facility maintenance, and seasonal tasks Support the crew wherever the day's work requires — no two days are the same Qualifications Must be comfortable working around cattle — prior livestock experience required Equipment operating experience required — farm equipment preferred, but skid steers, construction equipment, trucks, or similar counts Mechanical ability required — able to handle routine maintenance and basic repairs Dependable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic Valid driver's license required — no CDL needed Able to work outdoors in all seasons and lift/carry as farm work requires Pay & Benefits $18.00-$24/hr starting pay depending on experience Paid holidays Paid time off — a base level to start, with more earned over time Year-end bonus opportunity based on performance Steady, year-round full-time work on an established, well-equipped family operation with a solid crew
Schedule:
