Fertigation Technician Job Description FLWRpot - Adrian, MI 49221 Position Summary The Fertigation Technician is responsible for managing and executing all irrigation and nutrient delivery operations to ensure optimal plant health, consistency, and yield across all cultivation rooms. This role works closely with the Head of Cultivation and cultivation team to maintain precise fertigation schedules, monitor system performance, and ensure compliance with all company SOPs and State of Michigan MRTMA and METRC regulations. The Fertigation Technician will perform operations pertaining to irrigation system management, nutrient mixing, and environmental coordination, including but not limited to; preparing nutrient solutions, maintaining fertigation equipment, monitoring plant response, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping within METRC. As time and schedule allows, Fertigation Technician will also be responsible for assisting the cultivation team in their tasks. Key Responsibilities Mix and prepare nutrient solutions according to approved feeding schedules and SOPs Operate and maintain fertigation systems (dosers, pumps, irrigation lines, emitters, tanks) Monitor and adjust pH, EC, and nutrient concentrations to meet crop-specific targets Execute irrigation events across all growth stages (vegetative, flowering, propagation) Perform routine system maintenance including line flushing, filter changes, and tank cleaning Identify and troubleshoot irrigation or nutrient delivery issues (pressure loss, clogging, inconsistencies) Coordinate with cultivation staff to align fertigation with plant health observations and environmental conditions Maintain accurate logs of nutrient batches, feeding schedules, and system maintenance Enter and verify data in METRC where applicable Assist with integrated pest management efforts as they relate to irrigation (e.g., drench applications) Support harvest, reset, and sanitation activities between cycles, including fertigation system sterilization Ensure all fertigation practices comply with State of Michigan regulatory requirements and company SOPs Assist cultivation team with tasks as schedule allows Perform all other duties as assigned by management Additional Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must possess a valid Driver's License Must be able to pass a State-required background check Must have reliable transportation Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs regularly Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, particularly with measurements and system calibration Must have excellent organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with commercial fertigation systems (e.g., Dosatron, Netafim, drip irrigation systems) Knowledge of cannabis nutrient regimens and plant physiology Experience working in a regulated cannabis facility using METRC Familiarity with water quality management systems (RO systems, filtration, testing) Ideal Candidate Profile Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage precise measurements and schedules Comfortable working with automated irrigation and fertigation systems Able to quickly identify and resolve system or plant health issues Capable of following strict SOPs and maintaining compliance with MRTMA and METRC requirements Adaptable in a fast-paced, production-driven cultivation environment Works effectively both independently and as part of a team Demonstrates efficiency and can maintain pace with production timelines and cultivation demands

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
