A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

Job description Currently seeking a cultivation technician who will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from seedling to harvest. The essential function of the position is to support the Director of Cultivation in various ways such as planting, pruning, watering, and trimming plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily care of marijuana plants, including watering, pruning, and inspecting the plants. Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Director of Cultivation. Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; prompt treatment for disease or infestation. Assist with de-leafing and harvesting the cannabis plants, including hanging, curing, and drying the plants. Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery, disposing of waste according to strict compliance guidelines. Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process. Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures. Carefully follow directions as provided by the Director of Cultivation. Willingness to continue to learn best practices of marijuana cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture, and greenhouse operating systems. Able to work outside for extended periods of time in various temperatures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong desire to work in cultivation or agriculture and a willingness to quickly learn about growing and harvesting quality cannabis plants. High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills; team player. Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. Must be 21, with a valid State ID, with no violent crime or controlled substance felonies and able to pass additional background screening.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
