Stoney Creek Mushrooms, Ferndale's James Beard Award-winning gourmet mushroom farm, is hiring passionate folks to join our tight-knit, farm-family crew. Michigan's mushroom industry is booming, and this is your chance to dive into mushroom cultivation with no experience needed. We grow top-quality Lion's Mane, Blue Oysters, and many others for chefs across Michigan and Ohio, and we need YOU to help us keep the fungi flowing!What You'll Do:
No two days are the same in our fast-paced, hands-on farm:- Bag substrate, sterilize it, and "spawn" mushrooms like a mycology wizard-in-training.
- Diagnose and battle sterilization issues to keep our grow rooms (aka the "nursery") thriving.
- Learn when each mushroom species is ready to fruit and harvest with precision for top chefs.
- Work closely with our sales and distribution team to ensure restaurant-ready quality.
- Get dirty with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and being in a humid environment).
