Full Job Description Overview:
We at Madhaus Labs are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to join our team. As a IPM Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to horticulture equipment, pest control. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.Duties:
Develops and maintains the biological control program and technical protocols for the growing facility, in conjunction with Growers and the Director of Cultivation. Daily monitoring and scouting of pest and disease Supervision of IPM protocols of pest and disease management Compiling IPM and conventional reports for management review Monitoring efficiencies of control measures used Verification of pest and disease infestation trends Management coordination on biological programs and implementation Facilitating small scale trials/tests on new, allowable commercial products to determine efficacy and effects prior to applying to entire crop Maintaining up-to-date records for State regulations to detail pesticide log and any other IPM products used. Planning, organizing, training and assigning scouting and other IPM duties as required. Provides technical IPM support to the Director of Cultivation through regular meetings and updates. Must obtain state applicator license Ability to train cultivation staff in pest and disease recognition. Additional duties as assigned by management.Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IPM techniques and practices
- Proficient in operating horticulture equipment and power tools
- methods and procedures
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate product benefits
- Knowledge of IPM principles and practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in hot humid environments
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
