Job Summary:
The Lower Sioux Indian Community is seeking applications for the position of Cultivation Technician for Cansayapi Pezi - the Band's newly established enterprise focused on the cultivation of cannabis. This operation will utilize industry-leading techniques to cultivate, produce, and sell products to support Minnesota's growing cannabis market. The Cultivation Technician role will support the Head of Cultivation in managing all aspects of cultivation operations and support the production of high-level cannabis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a prominent, highly successful cannabis operation in Minnesota. The Cultivation Technician role will be integral in daily cultivation operations.Responsibilities:
Assist with plant care activities including watering, pruning, transplanting, and monitoring plant health Perform harvesting, trimming, drying, and curing of cannabis according to SOPs Accurately record data in the state-mandated tracking system (e.g., METRC) Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety standards Assist with inventory counts, product labeling, and storage Identify and report pests, disease, or irregularities in plants or products Operate basic equipment safely (trimmers, scales, environmental controls, etc.) Adhere to facility security protocols and restricted access proceduresQualifications:
