A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.
As a Horticulturist Supervisor, you will be responsible for the cultivation, maintenance, and overall health of our production gardens. Your expertise in plant care, soil management, pest control, and greenhouse operations will ensure the optimal growth and quality of our crops.

WHAT WILL I DO?
As our Grower/Horticulturist, you'll be integral to the success of our production gardens.
Your key responsibilities include:
Perform planting, growing, and maintenance of various crops, ensuring optimal growth conditions and plant health. Ensure garden beds and areas are free from weeds and debris. Monitor and manage pests and diseases using integrated pest management practices. Handle greenhouse and nursery operations, including seedling propagation and transplanting. Execute the harvesting process and manage post-harvest handling, including cleaning, sorting, and packaging. Maintain accurate records of planting, growth, and production activities, and prepare regular reports on garden operations.
Position requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is required.
