A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.
8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and weekend work Delta Fine Enterprises is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our cultivation team as Plant Care Technicians and Cannabis Trimmers. Previous cannabis, farming, greenhouse, or horticultural experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided to qualified candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Responsibilities Trim and manicure harvested cannabis flower according to company quality standards Assist with watering, transplanting, pruning, defoliating, and general plant care Monitor plants and report signs of pests, disease, or other concerns Weigh, label, organize, and handle plant material accurately Clean and sanitize cultivation, trimming, and work areas Follow company procedures and Mississippi medical cannabis regulations Maintain accurate production and inventory records Assist with harvesting and other cultivation duties as needed Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Must be eligible to obtain a Mississippi medical cannabis work permit Must successfully complete the required fingerprint-based background check Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team Reliable transportation to the DeKalb facility Available to work from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and weekend work Cannabis, farming, greenhouse, landscaping, or horticultural experience is preferred but not required Compensation and Schedule The starting pay range is $10-$14 per hour , based on experience and assigned responsibilities. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Regular operating hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on plant-care and harvesting needs.
