Job Description

Trakai Farm in Hillsborough is hiring! Trakai Farm is a small, personalized hunter/jumper training barn. We prioritize quality horse care and believe in 24/7 turnout unless there is inclement weather. Because our horses spend most of their time turned out, stall cleaning is not necessarily a daily task unless horses have been stalled.
Responsibilities include:
Feeding Safe and proper horse handling Cleaning turnout paddocks Putting out hay Cleaning and refilling water troughs General tidying and upkeep around the farm Noticing and promptly reporting any horse health or behavioral concerns Cleaning stalls as needed Adding hay, cleaning and refilling water buckets, and replenishing shavings Ideally, we are looking for someone available 5 days per week, with weekend availability preferred. Majority of the work takes between 4-5 hours in the morning and 1-1.5 hours in the afternoon. Alternative scheduling options can be discussed. Riding opportunities may also be available for the right candidate.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
