Assistant Golf Course Superintendent/Irrigation Technician

The Big Cats at Ocean Plantation Golf are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent / Irrigation Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining the health, appearance, and playability of our golf courses while supporting daily operations and irrigation management. Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Superintendent with daily golf course maintenance operations Operate, monitor, and maintain the irrigation system, including troubleshooting and repairs. We have both Toro and Rain Bird systems Schedule and adjust irrigation cycles based on weather and course conditions Ensure proper care of greens, tees, fairways, and roughs Maintain accurate records of irrigation and maintenance activities Assist with course setup and special projects May be asked to perform other typical golf course superintendent duties

Qualifications:

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field (preferred but not required) Experience with golf course maintenance and irrigation systems Knowledge of turfgrass practices, equipment operation, and agronomy principles Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems (electrical, hydraulic, and control components) Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Valid driver's license If you are passionate about golf course management and enjoy hands-on outdoor work, we encourage you to apply.
