Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic farm team as a Farm Hand and Equipment Operator, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the health and productivity of our agricultural operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of farm machinery, and contribute to the growth of crops. Your hands-on skills and proactive attitude will help ensure our farm runs smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably. Your efforts will directly support our mission to produce high-quality agricultural products. Responsibilities Operate farm machinery including tractors, combines, spray systems, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge. Support planting, cultivating, harvesting, and growing activities across fields, applying horticultural practices as needed. Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution for crops and maintain soil health. Conduct general farm maintenance tasks including equipment inspections, cleaning work areas, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Supervise or collaborate with team members on daily farm operations to promote a productive work environment. Experience No prior experience in farming or agriculture needed Demonstrate willingness to learn mechanical knowledge with experience operating farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, or other heavy equipment. Skills in equipment repair, welding, or maintenance work are advantageous. Knowledge of agricultural practices is beneficial. Supervising experience in a farm setting is desirable but not required; leadership qualities are valued. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking; comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feed rations are helpful.
