Farm Equipment Operator A & T Farms, Inc. - 3.0 Valley, NE Job Details Temporary | Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teamwork Agricultural sprayers Outdoor work Heavy equipment operation Forklift Farm experience Pesticide Applicator's License Full Job Description Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator A&T Farms Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator to join our field operations team in Valley, Nebraska. We are looking for someone with strong equipment experience, especially someone who is comfortable operating a sprayer and other row crop or specialty crop equipment. This position will support planting, spraying, cultivation, irrigation, harvest preparation, field maintenance, and general farm operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and experienced with modern farm equipment. Position Type Seasonal Position This position is expected to run through approximately November 1 , depending on crop season, weather, and business needs. Opportunities may be available for full-time employment after completion of this season, depending on performance and company needs. Responsibilities The Farm Equipment Operator will be responsible for: Operating tractors, sprayers, tillage equipment, planters, cultivators, mowers, and other farm machinery Applying crop protection products with a sprayer according to company procedures and label requirements Assisting with planting, field preparation, crop maintenance, and harvest support Performing daily inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning of equipment Reporting mechanical issues, field problems, crop concerns, or safety hazards Following all pesticide safety, worker safety, and environmental protection procedures Maintaining accurate records for spray applications, equipment use, and field work as needed Assisting with irrigation, field scouting, moving equipment, and general farm tasks Working with the field operations team to complete jobs efficiently and safely Keeping equipment, shop areas, and work areas clean and organized Qualifications Strong candidates will have: Previous experience operating farm equipment Sprayer experience strongly preferred Experience with tractors, implements, GPS guidance, rate controllers, monitors, or precision agriculture systems preferred Mechanical ability and willingness to help with basic repairs and maintenance Ability to follow instructions carefully and complete records accurately Valid driver's license required CDL preferred but not required Pesticide applicator license preferred or willingness to obtain one Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and willingness to work longer hours during peak seasons Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Climb in and out of tractors, sprayers, trucks, and equipment Lift up to 50 lbs as needed Work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, mud, and changing weather conditions Work around moving equipment, chemicals, irrigation systems, and farm machinery Sit for extended periods while operating equipment Schedule This is a seasonal position expected to run through approximately November 1 , depending on crop season, weather, and business needs. Hours will vary by season. Longer days and some weekends will be required during planting, spraying, crop maintenance, and harvest periods.
