As a Farmhand, you will be instrumental in maintaining the farm's productivity, ensuring safety standards, and supporting the daily activities that keep our farm running smoothly. This paid position provides hands-on experience in agriculture while fostering skills in equipment operation, animal care, and farm maintenance. Responsibilities Assist with the daily care and management of our farm animals, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling animals with care and confidence. Operate heavy machinery such as small tractors, and other farm equipment safely and efficiently to support great customer experience throughout the farm and maintenance tasks. Perform routine maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal operation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage facilities, and animal enclosures to meet safety standards. Follow all safety protocols diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries on the farm. Qualifications Prior experience working on farms or in agricultural settings is highly preferred; familiarity with farming practices is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate farm machinery such as small tractors, or other heavy equipment safely. Knowledge of animal husbandry practices including livestock handling and animal care experience. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) experience is advantageous. Comfortable performing manual tasks involving heavy lifting, power tools, and handing tools. Strong understanding of safety standards in agricultural production environments; committed to maintaining a safe workspace. Good physical condition with outdoor work experience; ability to work in varying weather conditions. Basic math skills for measurement tasks; excellent attention to detail for equipment upkeep and animal management.
