Full-time Cultivation Technician (Grow Tech)

GraniteLeaf Cannabis has an immediate, full-time position for a Cultivation Technician willing to provide the standard of excellence to grow with us. This position is based in Peterborough, NH. Are you someone who?:

This position pays $19 to $22 per hour based on experience.

General Summary:

• Follow all state mandated regulations pertaining to the cultivation of cannabis and operations within the licensed facility.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment inside the cultivation area.
• Develop working knowledge of all equipment within specified grow rooms including but not limited to irrigation system/components, fan operation, reading of BMS and lighting equipment.
• Proper usage, maintenance, and storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, pruners, scissors, stools, gloves, rags, and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain effective communication with Cultivation Manager and/or Cultivation Supervisor for crop needs.
• Be vigilant while conducting the daily inspection of plants to identify: pests/disease/deficiencies/excesses - report findings to Cultivation Managers and/or Cultivation Supervisor.
• Responsible for the daily care of crop cultural practices from seed to clone to harvest.
• Apply IPM and sanitizing products as scheduled, needed or directed.
• Review and comply with all procedures and instructions on in-room checklists.
• Maintain accurate record of cultural practices, data collection, other crop-related logs as assigned by the Cultivation Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Learn and cross train across all cultural practices throughout each growth phase.
• Implement daily feeding and care schedule as directed by Cultivation Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Complete any daily and periodic duties as assigned.
• Assist in completion of secondary cultivation labor tasks at the direction of the Cultivation Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Follow daily proper waste disposal.
• Weekend availability as needed o This would require roughly 13 weekends out of the year for abbreviated shifts
• Perform daily remediation processes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must have regular and reliable, on-time attendance. Must have reliable transportation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check. Positive attitude with a team player mentality. High Level of Professionalism. Attention to Detail.

Knowledge about cannabis:

genetics, laws, medicinal values, culture, and trends of the industry is preferred, but not required. 1-3 years of professional cannabis cultivation experience preferred. Quick hand eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of quality control. General knowledge of math, weights and quantities. Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency on a daily basis while doing repetitive tasks. High attention to detail.

GED Physical Requirements:

Agriculture work, by nature, is physically demanding and repetitive. This position must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. Additionally, the ability to lift 25-50 pounds without assistance is necessary. Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. Ability to safely climb and use ladders. Frequent kneeling, bending squatting, walking and lifting. Plant pollen is present on surfaces and in the air. This is a hands-on, cannabis production position, working in an indoor production, warehouse-like environment. Rooms are industrially lit and feature machinery sounds at times.
