Ranch Hand/Laborer-SUMMER ONLY

Ranch Hand The Ranch Hand position supports and adds value to Franklin Veterinary Clinic dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. You will perform a variety of support to the clinic and breeding farms.

What we expect from you:

You should be able to clean stalls, pens and equipment using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovel, and water hoses You must possess a valid driver's license with ability to drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals You will examine animals to detect illness, injury or disease and to check physical characteristics You will take livestock to pastures for grazing or to other enclosures; Mix feed, additives and medicines in prescribed portions; Feed and water livestock and monitor feed supplies and pick up feed supplies as necessary Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations Bathe animals; Inspect, maintain and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with operating hand tools and heavy equipment is beneficial. Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repairs is desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manual labor Starting wage can be negotiated based off of experience.
