Job Description

Cottonwood Farms seeks a dependable Calf Feeder on a 300 Organic Dairy located in Pavilion New York. Schedule
  • Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM (end time can be flexible), returning for the afternoon feeding at 3:30 PM until finished (generally between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM). Sunday's are short days of 6:00 AM normal starts to finish, returning at 3:30 PM for the night feeding (this provides a better work life balance on farm) Responsibilities
  • work with current calf manager and farm owners to ensure top quality care is being given. Feeding, vaccinating, cleaning, bedding, record keeping, tagging, dehorning, all while following STRICT organic practices and protocols. Wage

  • PTO after 1 year, housing available on farm after 3 month probation period The ideal candidate will have experience with calves.
Farm equipment experience is preferred but not required. Must be upbeat, able to handle a fast pace environment, hand the labor intensity that comes with calf rearing, reliable transportation, ability to communicate daily coworkers and ownership, and work in all weather conditions. We are currently remodeling the calf facility so it will be fresh and new. Resumes and references required
