A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description
- Helping Retail Customers looking to purchase plants or landscaping services Answering Phones
- Courteous and considerate, we have many long term customers who call for scheduling services or looking for assistance with landscape concerns Voicemail
- Listening to and noting voicemail messages, calling back throughout the day when the phones are unanswered Calling Suppliers
- Ordering supplies, checking availability of products for jobs, etc. Typing
- Invoices, Contracts and Proposals (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Email
- Checking email, sending replies as necessary Landscape Design / Photographic Design Software
- We utilize photographic landscape design software, graphic design, landscape design and plant identification skills would apply
- a portfolio of prior design work would be required at interview. Horticultural Label Printer
- We have a laser-film Horticultural Tag printer for printing plastic stick and slip (hang) tags on site.
Other Details:
Part or Full Time (Flexible Schedule) / Seasonal Some Saturdays may be Required (We do not work Sundays) English/Spanish Bilingual a Plus Weekly Pay Compensation depends on experience and skills . Hours may be flexible or part-time for the right candidate. You are required to come dressed appropriately for the weather each day, as the position is primarily outdoors, expect exposure to a variety of plants including tropicals, cacti (thorns), perennials, trees, shrubs, insects, ticks, spiders, wildlife, poison ivy (please keep an eye out), sunlight, high humidity, heat, rain, wind, snow, cold if position extends through the winter months, etc. as this position can be seasonal. Please come prepared to work comfortably. Waterproof / resistant hiking shoes or boots and long pants are recommended daily attire. We are Members of the Midwest Cactus & Succulent Society and have participated in the Cactus Show at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens annually. We also offer Proven Winners Certification each spring.Pay:
