Job Description

The Duzan Riding Academy is currently looking for detail-oriented, hardworking, reliable, responsible, and horse-loving individuals to join our team! The horses are pleasant to work around, and the clients are friendly. Looking for a stable hand/ feeder for (Sundays
  • Saturdays) evening feed and barn chores as well as help lesson kids get ready for their lessons/ properly care for their horse (Mondays
  • Fridays).
Hours:
Mondays
  • Fridays 4:00 pm
  • 8:00 pm Looking for two individuals to split the days
  • 3 or 4 days a week.
Responsibilities Evening Feeds and chores:
Turning out and bringing in horses Hay and grain Watering Blanket changes (as needed) Observing horses for signs of illness, lameness, or injury Supervise kids tacking, untacking, and grooming lesson horses Misc Barn Chores Requirements Must have at least three (3) years of prior horse care experience, preferably with a hunt seat or dressage background Must be able/ comfortable working with and around children/ beginners Must be able to handle and help care for 32 horses Must have a dependable mode of transportation Must be able to manage time and be adaptable Must be able to lift 25
  • 50lbs on a regular basis Have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and provide manual labor as needed Must be able to take direction as necessary Must be eligible to work in the US.
No live-in accommodations are available. This position is at an Equine Facility. Must be 18 years or older Employees must work in all temperatures and weather conditions . The environment is dusty. A heated/ air-conditioned break room and lavatories are provided. The Duzan Riding Academy is a drug-fee and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
