Job Description

Overview Seasonal Farm Help supports daily farm operations including harvesting, planting, general crop care, and assisting at weekly farmers markets. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for someone reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. www.pierifarm.com Primary Responsibilities - Farm Work Harvesting, washing, and packing produce Planting, weeding, trellising, and general crop care Field and greenhouse work Post-harvest handling and market prep General farm maintenance and seasonal tasks Following harvest and quality standards Secondary Responsibilities - Farmers Markets/Weekly Deliveries Assisting with loading and unloading for farmers markets and weekly deliveries Following an established delivery route every Tuesday to deliver CSA shares to designated pickup locations Ensuring all CSA orders are delivered in a timely and professional manner Helping with booth setup and breakdown for farmers markets Supporting sales and customer interactions Answering basic questions about produce, memberships, and farming practices Handling sales and inventory under management guidance Running the farmers market booth independently once trained Schedule Farm work: weekdays and some weekends, weather dependent; Tuesdays are required Farmers markets: Saturdays Early mornings required, especially on harvest and market days Qualifications Comfortable with physical labor and outdoor work in all weather Ability to lift 50-70 lbs Reliable and punctual Willingness to learn and take direction Comfortable talking with customers (for market days) Valid driver's license preferred Farm or farmers market experience a plus, not required Ideal Candidate You might be a good fit if you: Enjoy working outdoors and staying active Want hands-on farming experience Are dependable and detail-oriented Can switch between independent work and team tasks Are comfortable occasionally interacting with customers
