Mushroom Cultivation Technician

We are currently looking for persons who have the ability to effectively complete tasks on a team or solo. We need people who are interested in expanding business, have business goals and aspirations, and are interested in being on the forefront of a new and exciting industry! There is room for growth, more hours, and a raise every 6 months with satisfactory performance. Reliable transportation is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

• Harvest mushrooms and prepare for distribution.
• Clean and maintain grow rooms and sterile lab environment.
• Assist with all aspects of mycelial cultivation (e.

g:

lab work, block production, spawn cultivation, etc.)

• Take affirmative direction when given tasks
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and interested in improving efficiency
• Ability to track lot numbers for Organic Production
• Able to make decisions on production needs without assistance
• Assist team with the packing and shipping of product orders.
• Act as a representative of Ten Mile Mushrooms at local farmer's markets and events.
• Make occasional local deliveries and pick up supplies as needed.
• Lift 50 lb bags and potentially hundreds of 10 lb blocks daily

Minimum Experience/Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Follow directions and lab procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Passion for organic farming, food production, or mushrooms.
• 1-2 years previous customer service experience.
• Previous experience in business or farming is preferred, but not required.

Ten Mile Mushrooms is a growing business and we'd love to have you grow with us! This role has the opportunity to grow into a full-time role with additional responsibilities in the future. We recently expanded to a 7200 sq ft facility located in Snydertown, PA. This is an opportunity to get in early with a rapidly growing business!
