SUMMER RESEARCH TECHNICIAN / INTERNSHIP
Location:
Lehigh Agricultural and Biological Services (LABServices) Hamburg, PA LABServices is a contract research organization which serves the research and development needs of agriculture. Our 240-acre research facility is located in Hamburg, PA. LABServices conducts in-house field trials for GLP residue, product efficacy and crops developed through biotechnology. Tree fruit, vegetables and field crops are available on-site in addition to numerous specialty crops including turf, mushrooms, and ornamentals.
Job Description:
The Summer Research Technician will assist in successful research trial management, which includes field preparation, seeding, cultivating, spraying, harvesting, and data collection. Work will be in the areas of insect, weed and disease control with row crops, vegetables, fruit, ornamentals, and turf. We are looking for a highly ambitious, innovative person with a desire for continuous learning and who is able to quickly adapt to a rapidly evolving research environment.
Qualifications:
A farm background and/or experience working with farm equipment is preferred. An educational background in the agricultural and/or biological sciences is desirable. Applicants must enjoy working outdoors and be able to work independently or collectively with a small dedicated team. Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
Internships:
Available with option to focus in Weed Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology or Agronomy.
Salary:
