Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Feedlot Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the feedlot, ensuring the health and safety of livestock, maintaining equipment, and assisting with various farm-related tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the efficient management of livestock and farm infrastructure. The ideal candidate is energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills in animal husbandry and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Assist with feeding, watering, and caring for livestock to ensure their health and well-being Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, forklifts, and farm machinery safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on equipment including welding and mechanical repairs Support animal handling activities with care and attention to safety standards in production Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, loading, unloading, and moving supplies or animals Maintain cleanliness and organization of feedlots, pens, and surrounding areas to promote a safe environment Assist with haying, mowing, snow removal Qualifications Able to operate operate heavy machinery Such as Bobcat, loader, tractors Knowledge of animal care practices and Identifying sick cattle Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance Skilled in welding, power tools, hand tools, and basic math for measurements and calculations Outdoor work experience with a focus on farm and feedlot tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently Familiarity with agricultural machinery repair and maintenance operations Strong animal handling skills with a focus on humane treatment of livestock Join our team to be part of a vibrant agricultural community where your skills make a real difference!
