Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Ranch Hand/Laborer and become an essential part of maintaining a thriving agricultural operation. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on environment, performing a variety of tasks that support animal care, farm maintenance, and equipment operation. We're looking for motivated individuals who enjoy physical activity, problem-solving, and contributing to a productive and sustainable ranching environment. This paid position provides valuable experience in agriculture, animal husbandry, and machinery operation, all within a supportive team setting. Responsibilities Assist with daily animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring of livestock such as cattle, horses, or other farm animals Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely for tasks Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge Handle heavy lifting of supplies, feed bags, fencing materials, and other farm-related items Supervise or assist with other team members in completing tasks efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and operational efficiency Skills Proven supervising experience or ability to lead small teams effectively in outdoor settings Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing farm machinery and equipment Strong animal husbandry skills with a focus on animal care and handling techniques Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment confidently Experience working with horses or other equine animals is preferred Knowledge of farming practices including crop growing, horticulture, greenhouse management, and irrigation systems Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or feeding schedules Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours working outdoors in varying weather conditions This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in agriculture while contributing to the success of a vibrant farming operation.
