Job Description

ADLA Studio is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Gardener / Horticulturalist to support the care, upkeep, and continued development of high-end residential gardens and landscape projects in the Austin area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in beautiful garden spaces, and understands that thoughtful maintenance is an important part of ecological landscape design. We are looking for someone dependable, observant, and willing to work as part of a team to help keep our projects healthy, clean, and well-maintained for their longevity. Responsibilities Perform regular garden maintenance, including weeding, pruning, trimming, raking, planting, mulching, and general cleanup Manage maintenance schedules, client communication and administrative duties including procurement, estimating & billing Assist with plant care, watering, seasonal maintenance, and garden bed upkeep Support installation work as needed, including planting, soil prep, mulch, stone, and landscape materials Help maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Identify basic plant health issues and communicate concerns to the team Use hand tools, small power tools, and basic landscape equipment safely and responsibly Follow direction from crew leads, designers, and project managers Represent ADLA Studio professionally while working on client properties Help create a strong client experience by clearly communicating garden care needs, seasonal priorities, and ongoing maintenance recommendations to homeowners. Support the upkeep, presentation, and ongoing landscape management of our company's hospitality property in Driftwood. Qualifications Previous gardening, landscape maintenance, nursery, or landscape installation experience preferred Google and Microsoft Suite skills necessary Estimating experience strong plus Diverse horticultural knowledge a must Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day Valid driver's license required Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate The right person for this role is hands-on, steady, and thoughtful. You notice when something needs attention, care about doing the job well, and enjoy contributing to gardens that are designed with intention. You do not need to be a landscape architect or designer, but you should be interested in plants, outdoor work, and maintaining beautiful spaces. Schedule This is a part-time position with the potential to expand as our gardening and maintenance branch grows. Typical work is Monday-Friday during daytime hours, with occasional weekend availability needed depending on project schedules, seasonal needs, and company property care. Pay Competitive hourly pay based on experience. About ADLA Studio ADLA is an ecological design-build landscape architecture studio in Austin, Texas that takes projects from concept through construction, specializing in residential landscapes, select commercial work, and ongoing garden stewardship.
