Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Ranch Hand to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of livestock, operating heavy farm machinery, and ensuring the overall safety and efficiency of daily ranch operations. Your hands-on approach, mechanical aptitude, and outdoor work experience will contribute to the success of our farming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant rural setting, supporting sustainable farming practices and animal husbandry. Duties Perform livestock handling and animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring to ensure animal well-being. Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, irrigation systems, and other agricultural equipment with precision and safety. Conduct equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in optimal condition. Assist with crop cultivation activities including planting, harvesting, irrigation management, and greenhouse operations when applicable. Oversee heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely to support farm infrastructure projects or livestock movement. Supervise or collaborate with other team members on daily farm activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards in production environments. Maintain detailed records of animal care routines, equipment maintenance logs, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with farm standards. Skills Proven experience in farm work or agricultural environments with a strong understanding of farming practices. Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee team activities efficiently. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, agricultural tractors, and other farm machinery confidently. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair, maintenance, welding, and general MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations). Skilled in livestock management including animal handling, animal husbandry practices, and livestock health monitoring. Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture techniques, greenhouse operations, and outdoor work environments. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to farming tasks. Knowledge of safety standards in production settings to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
