What you get to do:
Perform diverse horticultural, grounds keeping and greenhouse tasks, such as watering, weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning, mulching, and mowing Provide supervision and training of ambassadors in carrying out grounds keeping operations and provide performance feedback, counseling, and developmental discussions Operate and maintain equipment: mowers, augers, trimmers, shears, tillers, utility carts, water tanks, tractors, forklift, etc. Perform tasks related to cold-weather protection as well as preparation for storms and perform repair work for any weather damage or other damage Maintain a safe, clean, professional workplace Provide exemplary service to guests and team members. Ensure compliance of Child Labor Laws with regards to breaks, lunches and hours worked per day Assist with other duties as assigned What it Takes to
Succeed:
At least 18 years old Horticulture experience greatly preferred Leadership experience preferred A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a park driver's license Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs. Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment under general supervision Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, typically Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations Ability to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time Willingness to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications preferred
Compensation:
