Basic Job Requirements:
Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing/pulling, sitting/walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements. Employers have drug screen requirements. Must be able to obtain appropriate driver licensefollowing hire and obtain clean driving record.
Details:
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, harvesting, storing crops; Operate or tend large, high horsepower farm equipment (much of which is equipped with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, plow, planter, swather, baler to produce crops such as wheat, hay; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Drive truck to haul crops, supplies, tools; Attach farm implements using bolts and hand tools; Record information about crops such as yield, inputs, pests; Speak and understand English. •
