Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Irrigation Technician and play a vital role in maintaining the lush, healthy landscapes that define our premier golf courses. In this energetic and hands-on position, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining complex irrigation systems that keep our greens, fairways, and landscapes vibrant and resilient. Your expertise will ensure optimal water management through advanced irrigation controls, contributing to exceptional course conditions year-round. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with landscaping and horticultural knowledge in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Perform routine irrigation maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively across all course areas. Troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment and system issues promptly using electrical diagnostics, system troubleshooting techniques, and hand tools. Conduct system inspections, identify leaks or malfunctions, and execute repairs or replacements to minimize water waste and maximize coverage. Collaborate on landscaping projects by integrating irrigation solutions with turf management and soil science principles for optimal growth conditions. Operate excavation equipment such as excavators for trenching or installing underground piping during system upgrades or new projects. Manage irrigation system programming and control adjustments using automated irrigation control technology to optimize watering schedules based on weather conditions and soil moisture levels. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair projects. Strong electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot complex irrigation control systems effectively. Construction experience with excavation equipment such as excavators and power tools is highly desirable. Knowledge of landscaping practices, turf management, soil science, and horticulture to support healthy landscape development. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standard Prior experience with automated irrigation controls, system troubleshooting, and irrigation management is preferred.
