Job Description
Utah Valley University is seeking a student to work as a Lab Assistant for the Biology department. A greenhouse worker will work a minimum of 10 hours a week with a maximum of 15 - 20. Greenhouse workers must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in hot or uncomfortable environments. Preference is given to botany majors and biology majors. Follow methodologies in carrying out routine tasks. Maintain work area and equipment. Provide administrative assistance to instructors. Must be a current UVU student. Completion of Biology 1010 or higher level of understanding of the Life Sciences (some courses may require a more advanced knowledge). Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Accuracy and close attention to detail Strong analytical judgment Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems
