Farm Crew

This season we're eager to hire one to two folks with prior farm experience to work at least 30 hours per week. Additional part time positions are also available for 16-24 hours per week. Both positions would feature a regular schedule of dynamic work including field work, harvesting, processing, and greenhouse work for both veggies and flowers. Folks with prior farming experience are strongly preferred, but all interested applicants are encouraged to apply. Generally, the positions start in May and finish at the end of October. Farm:

Stone's Throw Farmstead grows diversified organic vegetables and cut flowers on a 3/4 acre in Vermont's Green Mountains in the sweet little town on Shrewsbury. We serve our community through the Rutland Farmers Market, our seasonal farmstand, a flower CSA program, the VFFC Farmacy Program and some other wholesale accounts. While we focus on quick, high-profit greens and roots, we also grow cut flowers and a variety of other fun vegetables. We value producing high quality, nutritious, and inspiring food for our community in ways that leave this land better than we found it. We are proud to be a tractor-free, human-powered, and human-body friendly farm. We celebrate the skills, care, and grit it takes to grow good food and our successes along the way. While we are still a young farm (2026 will be our fourth growing season), we are eager to build up from our team of two and expand our productivity this year. We work closely with each other and strive to have fun while we learn and grow (professionally, personally, and something delicious).
