Job Description

About the Role As a Field Irrigation Specialist, you will ensure the reliability and efficiency of agricultural water management systems by performing expert maintenance and installations. You will play a vital role in optimizing crop yield through precise mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of center pivot irrigation technology. Responsibilities Execute the installation, wiring, and rigorous testing of both new and pre-owned irrigation hardware. Deliver high-quality repairs on VFD pump panels and electrical control systems to minimize downtime. Perform complex mechanical diagnostics and system telemetry adjustments to ensure peak operational performance. Operate heavy machinery, including mini excavators, to facilitate site preparation and equipment setup. Foster strong customer relationships by providing clear communication and professional service during every site visit. Maintain and repair center pivot systems, ensuring all components function according to manufacturer specifications. Utilize digital tools and software to document service outcomes and stay current with evolving irrigation technology. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or GED equivalent. Proficiency with 480-volt 3-phase electrical systems and multi-meter usage. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with standard hand tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Skills Completion of a trade or technical certification program. Prior hands-on experience in the agricultural or irrigation industry. Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
