Job Description

Founded in 1990, Agriland manages over 30,000 acres across 8 counties in the Central Valley. We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual who is able to successfully work with a wide variety of individuals. This individual will lead the day-to-day operations at our Almond and Pistachio farms in the South Valley ensuring a safe work environment, while maintaining quality and production standards.
Job Type:
Full Time The Farm Supervisor will report directly to the Farm Manager with Foreman and Crew leaders reporting directly to the Farm Supervisor. The successful candidate will be forward-thinking, open to new technologies and ideas, organized, have strong people skills, and excellent communication. This position requires someone who can work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of people.
Responsibilities include:
Directing all daily farming activities, including but not limited to pesticide applications and fertilizer applications, irrigation, equipment readiness, harvesting, and coordinating of off-season activities. Working together and in support of the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operations. Ability to recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and operational efficiency. Supervising, hiring, coaching, training, and leading employees. Maintain time. Equipment, and material records. Ensure effectiveness/efficiency of employee assigned work. Manage/Monitor farm equipment maintenance schedules. Orchard Production & supervisory experience is required. Train employees in work procedures, safety policies, and use of machinery and tools. A bachelor's degree in ag or related field is desired, as well as experience in equipment management, irrigation, basic agronomy, budgeting, record keeping & Microsoft software programs. Almond and Pistachio experience is required. • Ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • Agriland has a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, a company funded health savings account, a 401(k) program with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and an annual incentive bonus program. A company vehicle is also provided with this position. Possession of a CDL and an acceptable driving record insurable by the Company's insurance policy is required.
