Job Description

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a dependable Assistant Ranch Manager for a well-established cow/calf operation located in Missouri. This is a long-term opportunity with a family-oriented ranch operation searching for a trustworthy individual who wants to become an important part of the operation for years to come. The ranch runs approximately 1,300 commercial cows along with hay and forage production. This is a very hands-on position requiring someone capable of assisting in all areas of the ranch operation. The employer is searching for a person who can eventually become more of a "right-hand man" and help handle day-to-day responsibilities while working directly with ownership. Primary responsibilities include feeding, calving, doctoring, processing cattle, fencing, hay production, equipment operation, general ranch maintenance, facility upkeep, and routine equipment repair. The operation puts up large round bale hay and requires someone willing to help wherever needed depending on the season.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Solid cow/calf production experience
  • Experience with calving, cattle health, and livestock handling
  • Hay production and equipment operation experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine repairs and maintenance
  • Fencing and general ranch upkeep skills
  • Ability to work independently and make day-to-day decisions when needed
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated personality
  • Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team The employer is offering a good four-bedroom home along with quality ranch facilities including barn and nice shop access.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, long-term ranch position with a good Missouri cattle operation that values loyalty, work ethic, and personal character.
