Job Title:
Grain Location Manager Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our grain elevator operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grain handling, logistics, and personnel management, with a proven track record of optimizing operational efficiency, developing growth plans, and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations of the grain elevator, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Develop and implement strategic growth plans to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. Oversee grain handling, storage, and shipping processes, maintaining high-quality and safety standards. Manage and train staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Build and maintain relationships with farmers, suppliers, and customers. Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize revenue. Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Monitor and report on operational performance metrics, making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in grain elevator operations or a related industry. Proven ability to create and execute growth plans. Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in financial management and budgeting. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the grain industry. Grain merchandising experience.
