Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Farrowing House Manager to oversee operations in a dynamic environment focused on animal care and farm management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for animal welfare. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained while also managing staff and resources effectively. Primary Responsibilities Organize and delegate daily/weekly workflow schedule Plan and execute departmental goals and targets Oversee proper nutrition, welfare, and medical treatment for all animals Optimize productivity, breed planning, and wean schedules. Train, develop, and mentor farm staff Treat and vaccinate pigs Accurately record data and utilize computer software to generate statistical reports Possess basic mechanical skills needed to perform routine maintenance of facility

This person should be self motivated, work well independently Exhibit math and computer skills Demonstrate communication, organizational, and leadership skills Have the ability to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment Possess a reliable, dependable, and motivated personality Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and employee development Willingness to relocate is a plus Flexibility to work every third weekend and additional hours as needed Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Ability to stoop, bend, and lift fifty pounds Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field is preferred At least 2 years of management experience Join us in this rewarding role where you can make a significant impact while leading a dedicated team!
