Farm Manager

We are seeking a Farm Manager to join a working farm producing crops and livestock for regional markets. We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee daily farm operations, including crop production, livestock care, and equipment maintenance, ensuring efficient and sustainable practices. This position plays an important role in our day-to-day operations, and we are looking for someone who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic, sound judgment, and genuine care for the quality of their work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee planting, cultivation, and harvesting schedules for farm crops.
• Manage livestock care, including feeding, health monitoring, and breeding programs.
• Supervise farm staff, including hiring, training, and daily task assignments.
• Maintain and repair farm equipment and machinery to ensure operational readiness.
• Develop and manage the farm budget, tracking expenses and revenue.
• Implement sustainable farming practices to maintain soil health and environmental compliance.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust farm operations accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of crop yields, livestock health, and farm expenses.
• Coordinate with suppliers and buyers to manage inputs and sell farm products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field, or equivalent farming experience.
• Strong knowledge of crop production, livestock management, and farm equipment operation.
• Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
• Strong budgeting and financial management abilities.
• Physical stamina for hands-on farm work in varying weather conditions.
• Problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges in farm operations.

Work Environment:

You will spend much of your time outdoors managing diverse farm operations, from fieldwork to livestock care, while also handling administrative and budgeting responsibilities.
