• Full-time The Assistant Plant Manager is responsible for assisting the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of a rural fertilizer distribution facility.

This role may oversee inventory management, blending/loading operations, regulatory compliance, customer service to local growers, and coordination of logistics during peak agricultural seasons. This is a hands-on p role requiring strong operational discipline, safety focus, and the ability to manage seasonal demand swings.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist in the management of inbound/outbound fertilizer, related products, and related ag products with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety. May supervise plant staff, drivers, and seasonal workers; set expectations, ensure accountability, and build a strong team culture. Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinate deliveries, and ensure timely service to local growers. Build strong relationships with customers—be a trusted, reliable point of contact. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards (including handling of fertilizers and related products). Maintain equipment, storage systems, and overall depot functionality. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in agriculture, fertilizer, grain, or related bulk material handling operations Proven ability to lead teams in a hands-on environment Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and seasonal demand cycles Knowledge of ag chemicals/fertilizers and safety protocols Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Self-starter who can operate independently CDL or ability to obtain is a plus

Pay:

$50,000.00
