Job Description
Grey Wolf Cellars, Barton Family Wines is looking to add additional wine and distillery educators to our team. We are a family owned and operated boutique winery that is home to Grey Wolf Cellars, Barton Family Wines, Barton's Kitchen and Grain + Vine Craft Distillery. The ideal candidate will have high energy, be self-motivated and have a proven track record of working well with others. Previous tasting room or service industry experience, and general wine knowledge is desired, but not required. You must be able to lift 50 lbs. The position will include a base wage + substantial tips and commissions. Responsible for educating customers on our wines, history and wine club. Stock tasting room with wine. Make sure tasting room bar, floors, sitting area & bathrooms, etc. are clean before opening every day. Making sure tasting room is always ready to serve customers. Complete Opening and Closing checklists daily. Check stock in tasting room, re-arrange and re-stock merchandise. Take out trash & recycling in tasting room. Make sure sales packaging (bags & tissue, etc.) are fully stocked. Take empty case boxes to recycling bins if necessary. Balance register at the end of the day. Answer the phones & check messages. Call customers as needed. Assist with private reservations. Check bathrooms every hour and restock if necessary. Responsible for making sure every customer has been informed about the benefits of joining the Wine Club and asked if they would like to join. Responsible for heightened sanitization and adherence to all safety protocols to meet all county and state guidelines.
