This position requires daytime, evening, and/or weekend availability. RMHCSD is looking for the ideal candidate that demonstrates strong collaboration skills, effective communication, exceptional organization, and flexibility. Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a "home-away-from-home" for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. We are a non-profit operated business that is committed to supporting and enhancing employee well-being through a variety of programs that nurture our staff professionally and personally. SUMMARY The House Services Associate will receive training and gain experience across various areas of the House, including room attendants, laundry services, public spaces, and houseperson duties. Management will assign or adjust responsibilities as needed, which may include working at either the North House or Main House to cover different sections or multiple roles within a single shift. Will be responsible for tasks necessary to maintain the Ronald McDonald House at an optimum level of cleanliness and sanitation. Every House Services Associate is responsible for promoting an environment of hospitality and comfort for House guests.

Compensation:
Earn up to $21.88 ($17.75 - $21.88/hr.) DOE- o Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on qualifications and/or experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and clean guest rooms in accordance with cleaning checklists. Report any maintenance, cleanliness, or guest issues to the House Services Coordinator or DOO.
- Detail clean guest rooms at the time of check-out, ensuring that all room amenities are in place and the room is in good condition for the next guest.
- Ensure that communal areas, including activity rooms, hallways, conference /administrative offices, reception, great room, and kitchen areas are clean and free of trash and clutter. Utilize the cleaning tablet to ensure that restrooms and TV room are sanitized, cleaned, and stocked on a regular basis.
- Maintain the Courtyard areas including sweeping, spot mopping, watering plants, and keeping all areas free of trash and debris.
- Inspect play, recreation, and exercise equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper working order.
- Know how to use safety equipment and implement emergency procedures. Report on safety/repair issues to the House Manager.
- Monitor building safety and security by performing regular travel paths, enforcing House rules, and being alert to potential problems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Ability to communicate in English. Bi-lingual (Eng.-Sp.) capability is preferred.
- High school or GED diploma
- Ability to use teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with families, staff, volunteers, and partnering organizations in a friendly, professional manner.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures
- Ability to undertake strenuous activities and lift 50 lbs.
