Locum Tenens Neurosurgery Opportunity - Illinois Position Highlights Ongoing locum opportunity - 1 week/month (Mon 7a-Mon 7a) Inpatient-only, acute care setting Multispecialty group & hospital Strong APP support (day & night coverage)
Schedule Mon-Fri:
7a-5p + night call (5p-7a)
Weekend:
24-hour call (Fri 5p-Mon 7a) ~7 call days/month Clinical Details Adult/geriatric-heavy patient mix Avg 6-7 consults/day Census ~15-40 patients (avg ~25) 4-8 surgical cases/week Procedures General neurosurgery Cranial & spinal trauma Intracranial hemorrhage EVD placement, hydrocephalus Craniotomies, spine decompression & instrumentation Support 4 daytime APPs + night APP coverage RN & MA support Requirements
MD/DO BC/BE
Neurosurgery Active Illinois license or IMLC 6 hrs stroke CME (facility can assist if needed) Must complete: vaccination records, drug screen, and physical within 90 days
