Type:
full-time vote.direct runs elections for homeowner associations. For one of the larger community associations in the Las Vegas valley, we need a trusted and neutral person at the center of the count: the teller who receives the sealed ballot envelopes and counts them in public at the annual meeting.
The work:
- The day before the meeting, collect the sealed envelopes from our Las Vegas mail location and sign a short count log. They stay sealed.
- At the meeting (an evening, 3 to 4 hours), open and count the ballots in public view following our checklist, sign the tally sheet, and send it to us.
- A one hour paid training call the week before.
Who fits:
- No home, family, or business connection to the community, its candidates, or its board. Independence is the entire job.
- Careful and patient, comfortable counting in front of an audience.
- Car, smartphone, government ID, work authorization in the USA and willing to sign our impartiality and chain of custody agreement.
