POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Pool Manager, the Concessions Worker is responsible for set-up and breakdown of concession inventory, serving food and providing an excellent customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Uses microwave to heat up some food items. Serve well prepared food, including cold drinks. Maintains an orderly eating and serving area. Collaborate with coworkers to ensure quality customer service. Restocks the cooler and shelves with soft drinks and food items. Able to follow directions and carry out tasks as they are given to them. Influences staff and members by performing job functions in a positive, enthusiastic manner. Pays attention to detail, completeness and consistency when performing job functions. Supports and promotes annual campaigns efforts within branch and across association. Engages in active and healthy lifestyle to promote personal well-being and exemplifies all characteristics of active living. Attends all required trainings, in-service meetings, and branch meetings as required. Covers all schedules shifts and/or finds substitute coverage for 100% of scheduled shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have current Basic Life Support, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, members, and participants is essential. Prior food service experience helpful. Must have knowledge of emergency procedures and policies to promote safe, effective responses to emergency situations. Must promote the YMCA mission and apply core values, including customer service, meeting quality standards for service, and a maintaining safe environment for the enjoyment of all. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, work heavily with families and children.

Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Physical ability to respond to children quickly in emergency: regular kneeling, bending, or sitting. Frequently required to stand for long periods of time, climb and descend narrow stairs in dim lighting conditions, and to sit, stoop, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus and to see in different outdoor environments. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but is occasionally loud.
