Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plant Care/Sales role based in Custer, SD. The role involves daily plant care tasks such as watering, fertilizing, pruning, monitoring plant health, and maintaining clean, organized greenhouse and nursery areas. The team member focus area will be our indoor plant sales and hardlines. The team member assists customers with plant selection, answers questions about care and maintenance, and processes sales using Square point-of-sale system. Responsibilities also include stocking and labeling inventory, preparing plants for display, and helping with loading and unloading shipments. The role may require working in varying weather conditions and occasional weekend or holiday shifts, depending on the season. Qualifications Ability to perform plant care tasks, including watering, pruning, and monitoring plant health, with attention to detail. Basic customer service and sales skills, including clear communication, friendly interaction, and accurate cash handling. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, maintain tidy work areas, and follow daily routines. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift 30-40lbs and move plant materials and supplies, and work in outdoor or greenhouse environments. Willingness to learn about plant varieties, soil, fertilizers, and pest management; prior nursery or greenhouse experience is a plus. Care and Love for plants Reliability and teamwork skills, including punctuality, following safety guidelines, and collaborating effectively with colleagues. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver's license may be beneficial for handling deliveries or errands.
