JOB FUNCTION
Performs secure transport and documented handoff of sealed fare revenue containers between stationary vaults and the coin room. This position supports revenue protection by maintaining strict chain-of-custody, one-for-one pumpkin swaps, and accurate completion of required logs. Essential Functions Responds to scheduled pumpkin pull times as directed by the Coin Room Lead. Brings one empty pumpkin and one unused tamper-evident seal to the assigned stationary vault for each pull. Open the stationary vault under camera observation and apply a tamper-evident seal to the full pumpkin before removal. Records the seal number and required transfer details on Chain-of-Custody Log C-01. Complete a one-for-one swap by placing the empty pumpkin into the vault before removing the sealed full pumpkin. Re-secures the stationary vault after each pull and confirms the vault is closed. Transport the sealed pumpkin directly to the coin room without stopping or detours. Transfers the sealed pumpkin to the Coin Room Lead at the coin room door and obtains dual signatures verifying seal integrity. Immediately reports broken or missing seals, equipment issues, or other irregularities to Finance Oversight and supervisory staff. Supports audits, log reviews, and compliance checks related to revenue custody procedures. Marginal Functions Assists with staging empty pumpkins and seal supplies for upcoming pull times. Supports operational housekeeping in secure revenue work areas consistent with department practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to follow written standard operating procedures exactly as assigned. Ability to maintain accurate written records, including seal numbers, times, and signatures. Ability to work in a secure, camera-monitored environment with restricted access controls. Strong attention to detail and accountability in handling revenue containers. Ability to communicate clearly with Coin Room Lead, Finance Oversight, and related operations staff. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience in cash handling, security-sensitive work, transportation operations, warehouse operations, or a preferred related field. Ability to read and complete operational logs and follow chain-of-custody procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull revenue containers and related materials. Ability to perform work in secured operational areas and around moving transit equipment. Working Conditions Work is performed in fare lane and secured coin room support areas. The position operates under continuous procedural controls, camera monitoring, and restricted access requirements. Special Requirements Must maintain confidentiality and security of revenue operations information. Must comply with all revenue governance, safety, and internal control procedures.
