EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Qualified candidates will be notified of the testing date five days prior to the examination.

Examinations:

Oral Exam (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of appraising training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant an oral exam. Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a major that meets the minimum qualifications established by the California Secretary of Agriculture. AND Possession of all eight (8) Agricultural Biologist and Weights and Measures Inspector licenses: Pesticide Regulation Investigation and Environmental Monitoring Integrated Pest Management Commodity Regulation Pest Prevention and Plant Regulation Weight Verification Measurement Verification Transaction and Product Verification Three (3) years experience as an Agricultural Biologist and/or Weights and Measures Inspector. Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License. A Class A or Class B California Driver's License may be required depending upon assignment. Other permanent and temporary appointments will be made as needed. Successful candidates will remain on the eligible list for a period of twelve-months, unless specified otherwise by the Civil Service Commission.
