  • Full-time NACE Inspector United Plant Services United Plant Services is located in Fort Dodge, IA; we are well-established company with years of experience in Industrial Mechanical Construction.
We are looking for a NACE Inspector who will ensure that the quality of our products and services meet company and client standards. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Inspecting Surface Preparation:
Verifying cleanliness and abrasive blasting profiles before application.
Environmental Monitoring:
Recording humidity, dew point, and surface temperature to ensure proper curing conditions.
Coating Application Inspections:
Monitoring application methods (spray, brush, roller) and checking Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
Testing and Reporting:
Utilizing specialized testing instruments to verify coating integrity, such as holiday detectors, and writing detailed daily/weekly inspection reports.
Compliance:
Ensuring work complies with
NACE/AMPP
standards and project specifications.
Liaison:
Acting as a liaison between client, engineer, and contractor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification:
Valid NACE (now AMPP)
Coating Inspector Certification Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation methods, and corrosion mechanisms.
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders up to 150-feet, and work in challenging weather conditions.
Documentation Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office for reporting.
Experience:
Depending on the level, 3-5 years of field inspection experience in pipelines and/or industrial facilities.
