Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Inspector to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. In this role you will use your years of inspection experience to monitor, sample, test and verify the quality of asphalt being produced for TDOT projects. If you possess solid leadership, technical, organizational, and communication skills; and have a demonstrated successful track record, we want to speak with you.Role accountabilities:
Report to the Arcadis' Region 2 Senior Construction Manager and keep good communications. Provide inspection and quality assurance at asphalt plants as required by TDOT. Perform lab tests on asphalt mix designs. Determine if material produced adheres to TDOT specifications. Maintain accurate records and reports related to the material and providing in a timely manner. Coordinate with other technicians and stakeholders as required.Required Qualifications:
3 or more years of experience of asphalt plant inspection TDOT Plant Technician and Asphalt Mix Design certifications Key Attributes & Skills Ability to work in a lab environment, including corresponding safety requirements Knowledge and experience with equipment used in the testing of asphalt Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret contract specifications Maintain detailed records Proficiency with computer applications, and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others).
