Field Rover Inspector Timber Products Inspection

ADP Job Summary:
The Field Rover Inspector works within an assigned territory under the direction of the Field Supervisor and will travel regularly, with several nights per week spent away from home once training is complete. In this role, the inspector conducts wood and biomass product audits, maintains accurate documentation through detailed test reports, and follows all established procedures and company policies. The position also supports business growth by identifying and soliciting new opportunities within the territory and provides training to production staff as needed.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Forest products experience desired Flexibility with widespread travel spending multiple nights away from home per week to cover accounts in assigned territory Perform Wood and Biomass product audits using tools such as hand-held measurement devices, calipers and power drills to sample and/or audit product to verify compliance with applicable standards Check Wood and Biomass products by random sampling, and performing analysis on samples taken Report results of inspections through test reports on tablet. When defects occur, Representative notifies supervisor and helps to analyze and correct production problems Train production staff- Teach lumber graders, treaters and Quality Control staff in applicable standards. Will monitor plant staff for execution of standards Maintain proper documentation procedures
- Prepare oral and written reports on plant audits and other procedures Solicit new business

Required Skills/Abilities:
Forest products experience desired Lumber Grading preferred Heavy Grading experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Time Management with proven ability to meet deadlines Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Proficient with iPad and Microsoft Office 365 Expect on-the-job territory training up to 10 months May spend multiple nights per month away from home depending on territoryEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements:
Standing, Stooping, Walking, Balancing/Reaching, Lift up to 50 lbs. Work in a production environment, possibly in inclement weather. Ability to drive long distances and fly to other regions for training and work duties.TP'S MISSION STATEMENT
